Visit Norris Lake

Norris Lake is a pristine man-made reservoir created in 1936 when the Clinch and Powell Rivers were impounded by the construction of Norris Dam. Norris was the first reservoir constructed by the Tennessee Valley Authority when it flooded 34,000 acres of mostly timber and farmland. Norris Lake is used by TVA for flood control and power generation, but vacationers and local residents alike use it for having fun!
